Success Stories

Success can look like so many different things for each horse that comes to FFF. We have a variety of animals that are fostered and returned to their owners, some that are trained and rehomed, and others that are given a last beautiful chance at a happy life. Scroll through their stories and learn more about the impact we have made.

Thelma

  Thelma and Louise

Thelma and Louise are both one-year-old female pot bellied pigs. Rescues from a foreclosed farm in Northern MN. These girls were severely underweight and dehydrated when they arrived at FFF.

Thelma the darker of the two sisters has been adopted and is enjoying her new life as a family pet!

Louise's condition continued to deteriorate and sadly we had to escort her across the Rainbow Bridge. In her last few months on earth she was safe, loved and was never hungry.

Moe

Moe

Adopted

Moe is a young (9)  handsome TB/Oldenburg cross with some previous history of riding. After contracting lymes disease as a young horse he had a few years off to rest and recover. Now he is with his new adoptive mom learning how to be a good equine citizen again. We’re excited to follow his progress as his new owner brings out the best that he can be!

Pinto

Pinto

Past Foster

Pinto was a short term foster that stayed 6 months. His owner went through a difficult divorce and was unable to afford all of her horses. Pinto came to stay with us while his owner worked to find him a new forever home. He has now found his new home and we can't wait to watch him enjoy every day!

Sunny

Sunny initially came to Fur-Ever Friends Farm as a short term foster  but now he is giving riding lessons to a small child and loving his pampered new life.

Leo

Leo

In Loving Memory

Leo was a 30+ year old horse who came to us from a boarding situation where it was suspected that he wasn’t able to get enough of his food to stay healthy. He was severely underweight, he fought so hard to stay with us, but in the end was just too frail and tired. After just 6 short weeks, we helped him cross the rainbow bridge with his owner of 25 years by his side.

Dahlia

Dahlia

Past Foster - In Loving Memory

Dahlia came to us for a short quarantine stay after being saved from a local kill pen lot. Her new owner wanted to help and rescue this beautiful gal, but didn’t have a space to quarantine her from the rest of the herd. By offering quarantine for this horse, we helped her owner rescue her. One of the many ways we can help you help them!

Update- After spending nearly a year living the good life with the loving humans who rescued her, Dahlia crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. We are proud to have been a small part of her journey and so grateful to have known her.

Ella

Ella

In Loving Memory

Ella the mini mare was a sweet and gentle girl. Due to chronic feet issues her life on earth was filled with diets, dry lots and constant pain, we like to believe that she is now enjoying all the things she couldn’t have in life. Like galloping through tall fields of tasty green grass on the other side.

Lenny

Lenny

Adopted

Little is known about Lenny's background prior to his former owner saving this cute little guy from an auction. Sadly due to difficult life circumstances, he and his two pals from the auction were surrendered. Lenny turned out to be kind, gentle, and bomb proof! We may not know much about his past, but we know he has a bright future getting loved on and teaching his new little boy how to ride!

Lenny
Rain

Baby (Rain)

Adopted

Baby, now known as Rain, was surrendered with her good buddy Lenny. She is as curious and playful as anyone would expect a coming two year old to be. She found herself a little girl to love on and grow with!
